St John’s School has been rated as excellent in seven out of nine categories in the newly released report from its recent inspection. The other two categories were judged to be good.
The Inspectors, who visited St John’s in late January, were full of praise for so many aspects of the School’s life and work. The Headmaster, Martin Collier, reacted to the report as follows:
“I am very proud of the contents of this inspection report. The Inspectors pay tribute to the outstanding work of staff and pupils at the School. Their report recognises the quality of our pastoral care and co-curricular provision as well as the strength of our community. It highlights our work in striving to promote academic excellence and a love of learning. Perhaps the most heartening part of the whole process was the near universally positive feedback from parents in a questionnaire which preceded the inspection. I am very grateful to the parents for their strong support.
The Inspectors have commended us for our determination to seek improvement wherever possible. With their encouragement we will continue to work hard to provide our pupils with the very best education.”
