On Friday 25 January Old Johnian George Kruis represented England Saxons in their fixture against the Irish Wolfhounds in Galway.
George currently plays for Saracens RFC and has produced a number of “Man of the Match” performances both in the Premiership and the Heineken Cup, demonstrating the skills that have seen him rise to prominence in the English game. George will start on the blind-side flank against his Irish opponents.
Director of Sport, Nick Platt, said: "this is a great honour for George, but one which is well deserved. He has performed exceptionally well for Saracens and is clearly thriving in the world of professional sport. He is an excellent role model for the talented sportsmen and women we currently have in the School and he has proven that if you mix hard work with underlying talent then success will come. We all wish George well as he makes his debut for the England Saxons."
