In a historic development St John’s has opened its doors to Year 7 pupils for the first time, with a brand new Lower School for 11+ entry.
The School was excited to welcome 54 girls and boys into the St John’s community for an induction day on Monday 5 September, with lessons commencing on Tuesday 6 September. The day included teambuilding in tutor groups, a treasure hunt of the School and a range of sporting activities in the afternoon.
At the end of the week, pupils will be treated to a teambuilding trip, taking part in activities such as sea kayaking, beach Olympics, coasteering and ‘glamping’ on the Dorset coast.
Head of Lower School Caroline Finnegan commented: “After a great deal of planning, it is fantastic that the Lower School has officially opened. The girls and boys have responded very positively to their new house environment and are extremely excited about making new friends and starting senior school lessons.”
