A Fourth Form pupil has made an impact at the Junior Karting World Finals in Le Mans, ending his 2016 season as Junior European Champion.
Chris Lulham (East House), registered the second quickest qualifying lap out of 140 top young drivers from around the world.
Having come through the heats successfully, he started the final in 11th position, but contact early in the race from another driver put him down to 17th. After this, a blistering pace saw him move through the field to finish in 8th place.
Not only is Chris now Junior European Champion, but is officially ranked 8th in the world, and the highest ranked 13-year-old driver – an astounding achievement.
