The final weeks of the Autumn Term get rather tense at St John’s, with house competitions dominating the School Calendar; each house vying for those extra points to put them in the running to win the House Shield at the end of the academic year.
The penultimate week of term saw the boys’ houses face off in the senior house squash competition. With the houses split into two pools, North House emerged clear winner of pool A, Alex Fleming winning both his matches and Alfie Parker winning his matches on points. For West, Cameron Brassington and Anthony Kiely secured one win. Monty House topped pool B, with Keiran Davidson and Ali Blair each winning one match. Ollie Attard won one game for East.
Pool A North 10, West 7, Churchill 1
Pool B Monty 7, Surrey 6, East 5
In the finals, Alec Fleming won his match 2-0 for North, and Ali Blair won his match 2-0 for Monty, and Montgomery were declared competition winners on points difference. In the play off for third place, Cameron Brassington for West won his match 2-0.
