School Colours awarded

At the end of Autumn Term Colours Assembly, the following eight pupils were awarded School Colours by the Headmaster:

Louisa Bray (Gloucester), Jasmin Cornish (Gloucester), Archie Dunnill (West), Mel Hyde (South), Kimball Klintworth (East), Henry Stevens (West), Kareem Swandells (East) and Sophie Tait (Haslewood).

On presenting the pupils with their caps, the Headmaster noted that the norm was to award School Colours to 2 or 3 pupils per year. However, the number of pupils to be awarded School Colours on this occasion was a reflection of the considerable success of the School’s hockey and rugby teams. The Headmaster commended the winners of the School Colours for their exceptional skill, leadership, dedication and outstanding commitment to sport at St John’s.

In addition to the award of School Colours, 23 pupils were awarded Full Colours for their contribution to various aspects of school life and six pupils were awarded Service Awards. The names of these pupils are listed below.

Headmaster Martin Collier commented: “The end of term Colours Assembly was a very special occasion. It was a pleasure to celebrate the success and achievements of so many of the pupils.”
