On Wednesday 28 December the School’s senior rugby players made the journey to BT Sport’s studios to participate in the Rugby Tonight Show.
The squad got a valuable insight into the demands of live TV as well as listening to the views of former international rugby players Austin Healey and Lawrence Dallaglio.
Teacher of Mathematics at St John’s Laurence Bruggemann commented: “The programme discussed the new laws involving contact with the head during tackles, with Premiership referee Clare Daniels offering an official’s point of view. Other highlights included Jamie Cudmore attempting the Smash-o-meter. Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening for both pupils and staff.”
