The School is very pleased to announce that one of our Sixth Form pupils has been offered a place at Cambridge to read music for September 2017. This is the music department's second Oxbridge success in three years.
Josh Geddes (Upper Sixth, West) received an offer to study at the university’s Pembroke College, where he will read music.
Huw Jones, Housemaster of West, commented: “Josh is a truly passionate musician who has worked extremely hard to develop his skill and repertoire. He thoroughly deserves his offer of a place at Cambridge, he embodies the attributes needed to thrive in one of the world's most prestigious institutions. I know he will do everything in his power to ensure he reaches his full potential in the summer exams. The West House team are very proud of him and wish him all the very best!”
Josh said, “I am very excited. There is a lot of work to do in the meantime but an opportunity to study music at Cambridge would be fantastic.”
Director of Music, Nick Smith, commented: “We are thrilled that Joshua has gained a place at Cambridge. His hard work and diligence has paid off. There is no one more deserving of this accolade than Joshua.”
