On a sunny but not so warm day, mud flew in the woods around Leatherhead as 45 runners from the nine Houses competed for the inter-house cross country title. Five legs were run as a relay, with each runner completing two kilometers each before tagging their teammates to tackle the next two.
The camaraderie created a buzzing and friendly atmosphere, despite the fierce competition. North House took the 2017 title for the boys and South House for the girls.
Mark Rogers, Head of Physics and organiser of this year's cross country event was pleased with the day. "Congratulations to all the pupils who competed with enthusiasm and determination on what was a short but demanding and muddy course. Once again we were lucky with the weather. Thank you to all the teachers and matrons that supported their pupils making the event a success."
