The dark art of politics

Nearly 90 staff, parents and pupils crammed into the St John's Old Chapel to hear Sir Lynton Crosby speak on 'the dark art of politics'.

After an introduction from Jack Perry (Upper Sixth, West), the audience enjoyed an incredibly interesting talk about how he constructed a modern political campaign, making particular reference to how the Conservatives defeated the Lib Dems in 2015 including detailed strategies and tactics.

Questions at the end came thick and fast from the Fifth and Sixth form pupils before Evie Sargent (Upper Sixth, South) closed by thanking our speaker. Ed Hayter (Upper Sixth, Surrey) also interviewed him for the Politics magazine, so we look forward to reading the article soon.
