84 pupils from Gloucester recently took on the 24-hour 'Stairway to Heaven' challenge. Every year a challenge is undertaken by staff and pupils to fundraise for the Community Holiday and an orphanage supported by the house.
Two cross trainers set to hill climbing mode were the starting point and base camp. A rota of climbers ensured the machines moved for 24 hours continuously. Our intrepid team started out with the goal of climbing to the elevation of Everest which stands at 8848m but exceeded this target by a whopping 681m.
Well done to all who participated, and particularly those who took the night shift.
